We address National Academy of Engineering grand challenges of restoring and improving urban infrastructure and providing access to clean water. Our research is aligned with the United Nations Development Program Sustainable Development goals of good health and well being, sustainable cities and communities, life on land and below water. Over the years, we have researched pollutants in the environment in surface water, ground water, soil and sediment, and air. We specialize in field studies and measurements supported by laboratory experimental data and in modeling, simulation, and geospatial data analytics. Our research group is interdisciplinary, diverse, and inclusive of researchers across all age groups and backgrounds, both nationally and internationally.
